Leroy The Bully

This composition is written according to a 3-picture question (as per the requirement for a Primary 3 or Primary 4 composition question).

LEROY THE BULLY

A beautiful park with a pond
The weather was beautiful that day. The sun was shining in the clear azure sky. Sally and her friends were walking to the park enjoying the beautiful scenery. The tree branches were swaying side to side, as if they were welcoming them. Sally and her friends walked along the pavement and found a perfect place to sit, at the pond. They were chatting about the homework their teacher had given them. After a while, Sally felt bored and suggested that they make origami paper boats to sail on the pond. Her friends agreed enthusiastically.

Soon the girls were making the paper boats. After that, they placed their boats on the pond and watched them sail by. There were boats of different colours, shapes and sizes. Some were big with striped sails, while others were small with a paper motor. As the girls were admiring the paper boats that they had made, a huge stone whizzed past them and crashed into the boats. The girls turned and realised that it was none other than the notorious neighbourhood bully, Leroy.

Leroy was grinning smugly as he watched the paper boats sink into the paper. Sally was furious when she saw Leroy destroying their paper boats. She went up to Leroy and punched him in the face. Leroy did not like people annoying him. So, he pushed Sally into the pond. The other girls stared in shock as Sally was struggling in the water. Sally flailed about in the water, shouting for help. Water entered her nostrils and mouth, causing her to choke and splutter. Everyone gasped as Sally disappeared beneath the surface of the water.

Just as hope seemed to be lost, one of the girls ran off to find help. Not far away was their cheerful neighbour, Mr Lim. The girl told Mr Lim what had happened and he rushed towards the pond. Mr Lim plunged into the pond and rescued Sally, who was trying to regain her breath.

When Leroy saw what had happened, he tried to run away but unfortunately for him, Mr Lim caught him and reprimanded him for his dangerous act. He added that Sally could have drowned if nobody had called for help. When Leroy heard what Mr Lim said, he felt remorseful and apologized to Sally. He also promised that he would turn over a new leaf and would not bully anyone again.
